30 Minute or Less, written by Jonathan Galvez, is a humorous take on the Asian perception in America and the absurdity of the modern media, performed at the Connelly Theatre in the 2009 New York International Fringe Festival and directed by Eliana Meira Rantz.
I played a junior detective in this show who is kind of slow on the uptake. I remember having to be shirtless in a scene where some of the other characters had to make unsavory comments about my nipples. It was the first and last time my nipples had made an appearance in a play. The Connelly Theatre consistently ignored my requests to raise the heat. I suspected a conspiracy was afoot to see how much my nipples would expand from low temperatures in the theatre. Luckily, no production stills of those scenes exist, (at least not to my knowledge.)
At one point, I had to wear a women’s blouse, again no production stills of those scenes exist, (at least not to my knowledge.) I guess you could say I was the comic relief.
